YAH IT'S WEDNESDAY and if you know about this great desk hopping around the world to check in on what everyone has been up to. If you would like to know more about this pop over to Julia's site and join in the fun and make some great new friends.
Okay so what you have come to see is my desk but first I missed last week due to me getting a chest infection and am on antibiotics and feeling somewhat better but not 100% yet. So I haven't done anything really but before I was really ill I did start redoing my stamp storage again. I figured out I am not a binder person and the system just wasn't working for me, I prefer to flip though.
So I pulled out my FUSE tool and used heavy duty page protectors to make any size I needed and for those small stamps I cut apart the baseball card page protectors for those. I am so loving this new system but still have a way to go to finish the box sitting on the floor waiting to get there cover made.
This is my DIY version from buying all those plastic storage that is being sold from so many
companies and using what I have. I also have put the matching dies behind the stamp sets and am
liking that so easy to find and all together.
I also am showing the page protectors I used as the thin cheap ones I was using just we're not as good as these ones I bought some time back ago from staples. The tiny box underneath is for my sister Nikki some goodies for here and the box above is full a scrapbook goodies for a world wide giveaway but just will be posting it soon for all to enter and have a chance to win.
Since I really haven't done much thought I might show what is stored in the boxes piled on the bookshelf well just two of them I have a button collection on the to the left and my sequence to the right and yes this is large hoard stash but I have had some of this for about a decade. Yes time to get the boxes off the shelf and used my stash. No overly creative storage as it is only the basic photo boxes but only has one kinda item in each one I have labeled and easy to locate when I need them.
.................................
Here is my other table full of goodies I am selling just haven't posted a detailed list and took a few pictures to show and this is just some as I am still downsizing so if you see anything or need more details in the stash I spread out just email me and will sell cheap and the cost of shipping and will be happy to send it on its way.
Thanks for visiting today and I want to say thank you for everyone who leaves such wonderful comments I enjoy each and everyone. Have a super fantastic Wednesday everyone.
Hugs ~Anne L

Cor Blimey Anne, what a lot of stuff you are clearing out! Need to go back and digest those photos of yours, such a lot in each one of them.
ReplyDeleteYs, I am a flip kind of storer for my stamps. Cannot cope with the binder system as they do fall off the sheets, or so I find. Luckily I started early on so most of my stash is like that. Can be lazy about new stuff though.
Sorry you have been ill, hope that by now the antibiotics are doing their work - so sorry to hear you have fibromyalgia. Here's hoping you have a better week ahead of you.
Hugs and thanks for the early visit, Neet xx 1
I have my stamps in boxes too, much easier to flip through. hope you feel fully better soon. Helen #2
ReplyDeleteWell you've been busy giving your space a tidy up and ok you do own every colour of bling. That is one full button box too. Feel better xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think I need a Fuse tool now too. I saw them when they first came out on line, now I need to find an online store to buy one cos I am on the other side of the world. Good luck with your de-stash! #11
ReplyDeleteGosh, you HAVE been busy sorting out! I hope that you manage to get rid of it all now :-). That flip-stamp system seems to work well for you - I know if I put anything away in boxes, it never gets used so I tend to keep my stuff relatively tidy and on shelves so I can see it!
ReplyDeleteHUgs, LLJ 12 xx
Hi what a great load of stash. Funny, I'm a binder person and love that system for me. I have made myself an inventory binder with all the images in, so I can just flip through that if I want inspiration. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #8 xx
ReplyDeleteOooh, a mountain of goodies there! I like your idea of a flip through stamp storage system. My problem is that I can't even be bothered to put them back on the carrier sheet - I just chuck them in a box. They will not last long this way, I know and I can never find anything either. I have only myself to blame! I hope you feel better soon! zsuzsa #22
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, I've both systems, for my sets I'm a flipper through clear stamps but Gid my rubber unmounted I use binders. For wooden ones I still like them, I have wee drawer sets for them.
ReplyDeleteI have only two sets of dies with stamps and don't like the way either die set cuts with the stamps. Not neat enough. Fussy,eh?
Happy WOYWW,

Wow that's a lot of stuff you're clearing out! Love your organisation system too. Sadly I am not very organised. You're making me feel the need to clean up lol.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you haven't been well and hope you'll be back to your normal self soon.
Take care

I love the flip through 'em system, I do that for my dies too, works for me. Luckily, I knew already that a binder system wouldn't, so for once I saved myself a bit of time!, am deeply impressed by your clear out, and hope you are back on full strength soon now, a chest infection is really poorly, poor you.
ReplyDeleteI tend to do a bit of both as I love the Tim Holtz binders but also store some stamps in boxes. Hope you're feeling much better soon and get all that stash sorted. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x 19
ReplyDeleteI really like the flip storage idea. Never thought to use my Fuse tool for something like that...good tip. Every time I clean out my stash I find something I was looking for...LOL!

Hi Anne, I have used the binder system but it's not working for me either, I just haven't gotten around to doing anything about it yet! That's a lot of stuff you have to clear out too. A belated happy WOYWW. Hope you are feeling better by now. Elizabeth x #38
ReplyDeleteThat's some serious clearing! And lots of goodies. yay.. another flipper! I much prefer having my stamps where I can flip through them. Sending Healing Hugs! Creative Blessings! Kelly #39
