Here is my rocking "SPRING" layout I made for a May challenge kit at the local scrapbook store where I live. The kit came with one sheet of orange bazzil cardstock, white ribbon, 2 flowers which one was white and the other was a bright orange, a orange button, and the word spring cut out on white cardstock and a few stickers.
I embellished from my stash which seems to have grown in the last few years and has slowly taken over the tiny corner of my darling husbands office space. I made more flowers then I used then I used on the layout which have been added back into a jar of flowers made for other projects never used.
So being just plain white word "SPRING" I altered it with a technique I saw some time ago on you tube and not sure who but how I made it was with white Scribbles T-shirt paint covering each later in a thin layer and them covering them in yellow embossing power and just leaving it buried underneath til it was dry before taking my embossing gun to give it a textured look. There is also distress ink rubbed over top to give it a kinda weathered looked.
Here is a close up of some of the flowers I made a some that were pre-made in my stash. I will say while making this layout it didn't much feel like spring as it is May and we had snow once again but am hopeful that we don't get anymore and I might get some time out in the garden soon.
Thanks for looking!
